Objectives & Mission Statement:To empower others who have been or who are in the same situation as we once were, affected and effected by Stroke. We will offer support, encouragement, advice, guidance and experience. To help train the survivors with new skills so that eventually they can find their own route back into work, be it voluntary, phased, part time or full time but at a pace that they are comfortable with.

Story

29th October 2020 is WORLD STROKE DAY, 17 Million Strokes happen each and every single year, this year that figure is likely to increase with the after effects of COVID, long covid in particular has lead to more strokes. StrokeInformation is a registered charity set up by former footballer Nick Clarke after his own severe Stroke in 2012, Nick set this charity up as he felt there was not only enough information but little support, guidance and hope for those that have had a stroke and need to manage and effectively survive. This charity is not just Nick's story, it represents the many others that its reached out to and given the stroke survivor a sense of purpose and worth once more. StrokeInformation now employs Stroke survivors and the goal is to employ more thought the country. So we have organised a celebration of this achievement by arranging teams of 10 to undertake an abseil down the iconic Fred Perry House, Stockport. If you are interested in abseiling then please contact Nick@StrokeInformation.co.uk. Its £50 per abseil or £500 for the ten man or women team. Are you Brave enough??? thanks to JJ Landscapes and Byrne Civil Solutions for sponsoring the event.
