Our Scouts have spent the winter and early spring preparing for the Six Summits Challenge. This is a Scout-organised walk across Six Summits in Shropshire, including Long Mynd and Caer Caradoc.
Our Scouts will walk at least 36 miles, camp in two farmers' fields, and navigate themselves across the challenge. This winter, the scouts have learnt new skills, including map-reading and the art of not getting lost. This will be a challenge to remember.
Also, we have the Chief running the Manchester Marathon on Sunday, 27 May. As anyone who runs any distance, a marathon is a 'fun' challenge and takes time and preparation to be ready.
The four members of Six Summits and Chief will have covered at least 170 miles in both events.
We are raising funds to purchase activity equipment for our Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts to use on their meeting nights, activity days, or camps.
