How it began
We began going to Africa some years ago. Every time we went we saw people impacted; pastors and leaders gave testimonies as to how God changed first them, and then their churches, through the teaching they received. During lockdown our contacts in Uganda found a suitable 5-acre plot and we purchased it without being able to view it. Miraculously we had £30,000 in our account - a rare thing! Once purchased we started building and last year were able to begin utilising the site to train students from Uganda, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya and Burundi. We already have a large functional worship hall, a half built kitchen/dining area , a ¾ built dormitory for about 20 and an admin block which we have just begun. All the funds for this came from our regular supporters in the UK.
We now need a further £95,000 for further sleeping quarters, finishing the buildings we have begun, and to finalise infrastructure and landscaping to make it the excellent centre God gave us vision for.
Vision
The Way of the Spirit teaches Christians to walk 'in the Spirit' and be led 'by the Spirit', and the purchase of land and the progress so far in building is a testimony to having walked this way for many years, following the leading of the Holy Spirit many times to different parts of East Africa. God has provided for all that has happened, and has given us vision for transformation in the way pastors are trained and equipped to bring revival to their own nations.
Testimonies
He has restored my peace and joy, given me victory in my spirit and strengthened me so I can proclaim his glory. I have increased faith, I am now a confident woman!
About tongues, I thought how can I speak in a language I don't understand? It was difficult for me. I asked God to let me do it and as I spoke in tongues I heard him say why are you doubting? Then I knew it was the way of God. I am now without fear and know I hear God. I used to find prophecy difficult but after teachings I am strong in faith and believe he speaks to me.
I learned my call is to proclaim and make disciples and to be on the chair. I will not come down from the chair! (Our shorthand for being seated with Christ in heavenly places!)
The Holy spirit has changed me, now I realise God can speak to me and give me revelation. I am full of life. I just desire to go to my people and release what God has done!'
I have increased understanding of God, increased vision for the whole world and increased faith.
I was so fearful at the start but God encouraged me. My friends said 'don't go to bible college, you'll get nothing', but I had to come. I had to pay bills, and had to miss work for college. But I decided to put my faith in God, like Abraham and God gave me the money I needed.
