Story
This Winter please donate or start fundraising and help us to be there for someone when it feels like they have nowhere else to turn to.
- A £5 gift could pay for a mental wellbeing resource pack for one child or young person
- A £10 gift could pay for one adult to attend a weekly wellbeing activity to aid their recovery and build their support network
- A £20 gift could pay for a mental wellbeing resource pack for one school class
- A £50 gift could pay for a one:one wellbeing session with a trained mental health professional
There are nearly 200,000 people across South Kent. It is likely that you know someone who might be struggling with their mental health and wellbeing.
Be it because of finances, physical health or bereavement any one of us at any time might need support with our mental health and wellbeing. Quite often we can turn to the people we know, but sometimes that just isn't possible.
According to a recent survey we ran, around 88% of people across South Kent have been impacted by mental health issues directly with 64% saying they had been impacted through a friend or family member.
This is where we at South Kent Mind step in. We provide anyone who gets in touch with help to better understand their mental health & wellbeing, as well as access to activities and services that can build resilience, provide relief and aid rehabilitation.
We also support children and young people in schools with sessions and activities that help them to better understand their own mental health and provide them with the tools and techniques they need to help them develop, particularly in coping with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on their own development.
But we need your help to do this. This Winter we'd like to ask you to consider giving a gift to someone who might need it in the tough months to come - the gift of mental health support.
