The Wren Bakery exists to support women who are out of work, lacking confidence, and often isolated due to difficult life circumstances such as poverty, abuse, or poor mental health.

Our purpose is to provide a safe, nurturing space where women can build confidence, learn skills, and take steps towards employment and independence.

Through our café and bakery, we offer hands-on training, work placements, and a supportive community that helps women to move forward.

We are not about mass expansion but about depth — making sure each woman receives the care, time, and encouragement she needs. By combining practical skills with emotional support, we empower women to overcome barriers, find new opportunities, and reconnect with their community.

At our heart, we are here to see women thrive, regain their sense of self, and create a more stable and hopeful future for themselves and their families.
