Feed Up Warm Up is a North Hertfordshire based charity supporting those who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness. We operate 2 weekly drop in centres in Hitchin and Stevenage where anybody is welcome to come and spend the evening with us. We offer live music, counselling services, a hot meal, free haircuts, food parcels, addiction advice and a warm welcoming smile and a chat. We support on average 100 guests a week between both drop in services. We also have an outreach team who respond to local referrals from other charities and agencies. During the pandemic we have reached out to local struggling families who have been directly impacted by the pandemic by delivering weekly food parcels and other support services. Through this particular service we have made up and delivered over 2600 food parcels which equates to 11,000 individuals since April 2020. We are funded purely by donations from kind members of the public and local businesses. Our belief is that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, kindness, equality and included in the local community.

Story

No child should wake up to an empty tree on Christmas morning, help us fill it with joy.

This partnership between local food poverty charity Hitchin Pantry and homeless charity Feed Up Warm Up aims to provide brand new toys for families who need them.

The Pantry supports 80+ families a week in providing food. The social supermarket model offers dignity to the shoppers, allowing them to purchase a £30+ food shop for a highly discounted price of £5 a week. Previously at Christmas these charities have provided brand new toys for the children of Pantry shoppers and families from local schools. We offer the parents dignity, choice, hope & the opportunity to purchase new toys for their children for a very small donation of £1-£2. This helps to bring joy and excitement to buying Christmas gifts without the worry surrounding the expensive costs. Many of the families from schools in the area who are struggling due to the cost of living crisis will be receiving and choosing gifts for their children this year through this toy appeal. This year with the rising cost of living hitting families hard, both charities are supporting more families than ever, this means more kind donations are desperately needed to provide toys for them.

This year we have less funding than ever and more families who would be eternally grateful for your support. We really need your help. You donating as little or as much as you like would make all the difference to a child waking up on Christmas morning with a smile on their face.
