On 10th October 2021 a group of Stonyhurst staff, OS and parents are walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks in honour of Rob Clare.

Why the Yorkshire Three Peaks? I first did it back in June. A spur of the moment decision, completely alone except for the odd message on WhatsApp. Well, I say odd message. Rob was a constant, asking about my progress, has anyone heard from John etc! It seems so apt that this should be the challenge to raise money in his name. Rob seemed genuinely concerned for me during the day, but then that was Rob. He once apologised to me when Forest (his team) won and sent Blackburn (my team) into Div1. So thats why its the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. If you are watching Rob, try and keep the rain off eh?

All monies donated in memory of Rob, will be passed to Natalie Clare, Robs wife.

Just a quick update on our preparations for Sunday! With staff, parents and OS we are now 15 strong. There seems to be a mixture of expertise but the main worry it seems, is the 5.30am alarm call! Weather looks good (thanks Rob) and the energy gels are being purchased later today.

Many thanks to everyone who has sponsored or will sponsor us. It will spur us on when the going gets tough. I previously remember getting to Ribbleshead having walked more than half the distance and still having only done one hill! And it then started to rain...

Hopefully it will be enjoyable, there are some characters signed up. The sponsorship will keep us going. Come Monday morning we will be easy to spot. We will be the ones walking funny...
