Story
Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity (YAS Charity) is celebrating two decades on 1 July 2026 and is launching a special birthday fundraising campaign to run throughout the remainder of the year.
For 20 years the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) Charity has been supporting the work of Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, with initiatives that go over and above the work funded by the NHS. Over the years it has provided life-saving CPR and first aid training to thousands of people across Yorkshire, so they know how to respond in a medical emergency. For over a decade, the charity has supported the annual Restart a Heart initiative which has taught CPR to over 311,432 students during more than 1,397 school visits. And since 2014 the charity has supported communities to install life-saving defibrillators in areas across the region that do not have them.
The charity also supports community engagement initiatives, creating brighter futures for vulnerable people through education and training. On top of all this, we also go the extra mile to support the wellbeing of YAS staff and volunteers.
Help us to celebrate our big 20th birthday by supporting the YAS Charity this year.
