YEOVIL HALF MARATHON 2026 - CHRISTINE GREENGROW

We’re lacing up our running shoes for a cause close to our hearts!

Closes 05/04/2026

The Battens Charitable Trust was set up 40 years ago, in 1985 to enable grants to be made to registered charities and for charitable purposes in Somerset, Dorset and adjoining counties. In the last decade alone, the trust has donated approximately £537,000 and counting.

Story

Five dedicated members of the Battens family, including our very own Chartered Legal Executive and Senior Associate Christine Greengrow, are taking part in the Yeovil Half Marathon to raise vital funds for the Battens Charitable Trust.

Christine says: " I’m running a half marathon to support a charity that does truly meaningful work. Knowing this effort can help make a positive difference makes every mile worthwhile."

The Battens Charitable Trust was set up in 1985 to enable grants to be made to registered charities and for charitable purposes in Somerset, Dorset and adjoining counties. In the last decade alone, the trust has donated approximately £537,000 and counting. Beneficiaries have been as diverse as local schools, youth organisations, hospitals and hospices, local foodbanks, wildlife organisations, disability groups and the arts.

We’re running to help ensure this vital support continues. Every penny donated goes directly toward transforming lives and strengthening our local communities. Whether big or small, your contribution truly makes a difference.

Your generosity fuels hope, compassion and real change for those who need it most.
