Story
Five dedicated members of the Battens family, including our very own Solicitor and Associate Director Ross Siviter, are taking part in the Yeovil Half Marathon to raise vital funds for the Battens Charitable Trust.
Ross says: "In an effort to try and stay fit and healthy I love to run and can see no better way of committing to this effort than by raising funds for the Battens Charitable Trust at the Yeovil Half Marathon! The BCT gives generously every year to various local charities and support groups and it is really important to me that we can continue to do this and raise funds for so many worthy local causes in Somerset, Dorset and beyond"
The Battens Charitable Trust was set up in 1985 to enable grants to be made to registered charities and for charitable purposes in Somerset, Dorset and adjoining counties. In the last decade alone, the trust has donated approximately £537,000 and counting. Beneficiaries have been as diverse as local schools, youth organisations, hospitals and hospices, local foodbanks, wildlife organisations, disability groups and the arts.
We’re running to help ensure this vital support continues. Every penny donated goes directly toward transforming lives and strengthening our local communities. Whether big or small, your contribution truly makes a difference.
Your generosity fuels hope, compassion and real change for those who need it most.
Join us in supporting the Battens Charitable Trust. Together, we can make an impact — one step, one donation, one life at a time.
Donate today and be part of this incredible journey!
