What is Walk This Way?

Join us for a magnificent day of fun in the sun as we don our best 1980s fashions and walk miles in support of local young people. We're setting out an epic 21km course as we celebrate 21 years of Youth for Christ in Cambridge and District, and chart a bold new course for the future.

What's the goal?

We're aiming to raise an unprecedented £21,000 this year to see more young peoples' lives changed by Jesus. We are launching ground-breaking work aimed at making an impact on the crisis in young people's wellbeing. Starting with a flagship city-centre drop in venue, we want to connect more young people to safe spaces, trusted adults and activities that support their thriving. Every young person we encounter will have an invitation to explore faith in Jesus.

80s themed fun!

If you were alive in 1986, you might remember Walk This Way. The song was a joyous hybrid of cutting edge Hip Hop mashed with an infectious Rock guitar riff. In doing so, it showcased two of the decades more memorable fashions.

You're invited to join in the fun by embarking in our walk-a-thon dressed in fabulous 1980s fancy dress. You can choose your look. Will you emulate Spandau Ballets New Romantic style? Or copy Michael Jacksons Thriller? You could evoke classic movies like Back To The Future or Top Gun. Or what about reliving the legwarmers of those kids from Fame?
