This has been a tough year for us all, but for young people who were already vulnerable, the impact of COVID-19 has been dramatic. As the largest youth homelessness charity in the South East, YMCA DownsLink Group saw a staggering 61% increase in the number of young people presenting as homeless at the start of the pandemic. COVID-19 has also exacerbated emotional wellbeing and mental health problems for children and young people.
