In May 2022, Sidley's London office launched a dynamic new five-year partnership with YMCA to assist vulnerable young people in the local London community by raising vital funds to create and run a brand new Youth Hub at LandAid House, run by YMCA London City and North.

This innovative new space, located in Islington, will reach at least 1,000 young people in our five years of partnership and will give even more young Londoners the opportunity to fulfil their potential in the years to come.

Youth services in England and Wales have been cut by 70% over the last decade, but the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic created an increased need for dedicated youth resources now more than ever. Read YMCA's research on cuts to young service funding in England and Wales here.

With support from the firm, lawyers and staff from across Sidley's London office, two former retail units at LandAid House will be transformed into a multi-functional space where young people can feel safe and develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in their community.
