Three Peaks Challenge

Campaign by YMCA Crewe

In September 2025, Mohammed and Mark will be climbing for the young people who deserve to be seen for their potential, not their past. They are taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge, a personal achievement, to raise vital funds for YMCA Cheshire.

Closes 30/10/2025

YMCA Cheshire provide accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness, care leavers, unaccompanied asylum seeking children, and refugees. In addition, we provide a range of community activities for children, families, and those experiencing social isolation.

Breaking Stereotypes: Mohammed and Mark Take on the Three Peaks Challenge for YMCA Cheshire

The 2025 Three Peaks Challenge will take place on the 26th – 28th of September 2025. It will push both men to their limits, requiring them to summit three of the UK’s tallest and most challenging mountains in rapid succession. Every step they take is to raise money for YMCA Cheshire’s work, from housing and wellbeing support to community programmes.

When Mohammed first arrived in Crewe volunteering at YMCA Cheshire, he never imagined he would be training for one of the toughest charity challenges in the country. Now, alongside Mark, a YMCA staff member and former resident, he is preparing to tackle the Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds and awareness for vulnerable young people across Cheshire.

Mark’s message to potential supporters is clear. “Homelessness can happen to anyone. You could be a CEO one day and in a tent the next. People we work with are not defined by stereotypes. They are resilient, talented and doing their best. When you donate, you are helping someone’s mum, dad, child or friend get a second chance.”
