New Life Special Care Babies is a registered charity that is dedicated to raising money for special care baby units across the UK. The Charity was launched by Trevor Goodall in 1995 in memory of his sons who were born 3 months premature.

Story

This year, a fearless team will take on one of the UK’s most legendary hiking challenges — the Yorkshire Three Peaks — all in aid of New Life Babies Charity. Over the course of a single, grueling day, they will conquer Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, covering over 24 miles of rugged terrain and ascending more than 1,500 metres in total.

For the team, it’s more than just a test of stamina and determination. Every step, every climb, and every moment of fatigue is fueled by a greater purpose: helping vulnerable babies and their families at the very start of life. New Life Babies provides critical equipment, specialist care, and support when it matters most — moments that can make all the difference to a family in need.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks are notorious for their challenges — steep ascents, unpredictable weather, and long stretches across moorland. Yet, the team’s commitment is unwavering. They will push through aching muscles and tired legs, knowing that each step is a step toward giving babies the best possible chance in life.

This challenge is about courage, endurance, and heart. It’s about turning personal determination into hope and action for others. And it’s a powerful reminder that when people come together for a cause, no peak is too high to conquer.
