Young carers are children who look after an adult friend or family member. Their extra responsibilities often mean they may miss out on school, playing sports and socialising with friends. It can restrict their whole childhood and seriously hinder their opportunities and life chances. The Cambridgeshire Young Cares Fund supports local charities working with young carers to help them find balance, give them space to enjoy being young and support them into adulthood so they can fulfil their dreams outside of caring.
