YV, Kilmore church's Youth Group, are raising funds for a 9-day trip to Jordan in October. Tha buidheann òigridh eaglais na Cill' Mòire a' togail airgid airson turas fad naoi latha a dh'Iòrdan san Dàmhair.

We will be based at St Paul's church, in Amman, for the first part of the trip, as we are twinned with them as part of the Church of Scotland's Faith Share project. While there we will spend time with their teens, helping with the projects being run by Rev George al Kopti and his team over there, as well as visiting some Biblical sites including Mount Nebo and the Jordan. We then plan to head south for a few days and visit Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea before spending our final night back in Amman.

We are trying to raise a total of £5,000 to fund our travel and other costs in addition to our own contributions. We will be running some fundraisers throughout the summer but would be very grateful for any donations here too. We have secured over £2,000 so far via the Church of Scotland Faith Share team and the CoS Gaelic Committee.

We are really excited about the trip, hoping to share some Gaelic in Amman and pick up some Arabic along the way!
