Story
It has been a very difficult time for charities since the pandemic started in 2020 as fundraising opportunities were limited. We are getting back to fundraising so that we can continue running our activities for local families with autistic/neurodivergent children. We run monthly Saturday Zone and Teen Zone sessions during term time and Wednesday Fun Zone sessions in the school holidays. The families enjoy meeting others and playing with games consoles, laptops, toys, crafts and, when it is dry, we have go-karts, bouncy castles and outdoor fun. We also organise trips out for the families such as bowling, donutting, laser run, soft play, farm etc.
It is often difficult for the families to get their children out and joining in with 'mainstream' activities. After living with the pandemic and lockdowns, our sessions are needed more than ever and families have been able to come along, get support, connect with others and feel relaxed and accepted with their children joining in and having fun. Our Saturday Zones and Fun Zones are very popular with 20 - 40 children at each session along with their parents/carers. We are looking forward to doing much more over the next year, but we very much rely on kind donations and fundraising to enable us to do this as we do not receive statutory funding.
Please DONATE to our campaign. Donations of any size will make a difference to us and help local families.
