‘Butterfly Child’ is an across-the-oceans collaboration by schoolchildren in Clonakilty, Ireland and of the nomadic Samburu tribe of Northern Kenya who attend our schools..

It’s a beautiful song with a touching video…but it’s more than that. It’s the story of how a small rural school in Ireland, armed with little more than their hearts and their voices, reached out to the Samburu children thousands of miles away who, in turn, gave their hearts and voices to make something special happen.

The song was born, recorded by volunteers in both countries, and it’s become the focal point of our new fundraising campaign.

We need money to help us sustain this remarkable project, which brings high quality education to the children of Samburu tribespeople - children who would otherwise remain illiterate and ill-prepared to deal with a rapidly changing world.

We need to continue this work, and  to help these kids progress to secondary school.Thank you!
