Story
Prisons in Burkina are overcrowded and under-resourced. While some are in for major crimes, most are in for minor offences, and many have no idea when they will be released.
Prisoners are often rejected by their family, and suffer from malnutrition, disease, and depression.
HOW APT HELPS. APT helps in four main ways:
1. The hope of the gospel for forgiveness, healing, and new life in Christ. There is now a group of believers meeting regularly in a prison chapel APT built.
2. Medicine, food, clothes, and dental care. Working with prison staff, we do a weekly distribution to the neediest
3. Skill training, (eg soap-making, welding), to give inmates skills for when they leave.
4. Seeking reconciliation for prisoners with their families, and re-integration after they leave.
Join us in bringing help and hope to prisoners in Burkina.
