Story
People with the disabling neurological condition Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) are among the most disadvantaged in our society, with the most severely affected often being the most severely neglected.
M.E. affects 250,000 men, women and children in the UK, and symptoms include post-extertional malaise – the inability to recover from expending even small amounts of energy – plus chronic pain and cognitive dysfunction. Around 25% of people with M.E. are so ill they are house- and/or bed-bound, and many have no access to support or specialist services.
This October, Action for M.E. is asking its members, supporters and the public to Make time for M.E.
By using the hour you gain when the clocks go back this month to fundraise for us, you could help us transform the lives of those affected by M.E. and raise much-needed awareness of the reality of this disabling condition.
