Story
We run multi-faceted programs focused on rural education and capacity building, habitat preservation and the conservation of Africa's large carnivores - in particular the endangered African wild dog. We currently monitor and safeguard one of the strongest populations of African wild dogs in the world - of which there are only an estimated 6 600-7 000 individuals left in the wild.
Our work with local communities and rural schools (123) includes conservation awareness lessons, establishing literacy books and libraries in schools, a secondary school scholarship program for very deserving but poor children, and human-wildlife conflict work and engagement with the surrounding communities. The money raised during the OMTOM event, is a fundamental support base for us. Please help us reach our target!
