Age UK Surrey is an independent local charity helping older people make the most of life and be free from isolation, poverty and discrimination. Our activities include information and advice, counselling, health and well-being and home/gardening services. We rely on donations to support our work.

Story

We are passionate about ensuring a better quality of life for people, at a time in their lives when they may be living alone, isolated and possibly in poor health.  As a local independent charity we rely on donations and volunteers to deliver our services to older people across Surrey.  We provide free and impartial information and advice, visit people at home and in the community and assist with benefit entitlement claims.   We provide Counselling, Advocacy, and Befriending services.  We deliver GO50 walks across the county and run projects such as Men in Sheds, Tea & Chat, Computer drop-in and Shopmobility.  You can support us by donating or by taking part in the challenge. We have a few places available for the 24 mile circular (5 peaks), or 12 mile (4 peaks) walk, for anyone who would like to raise a minimum of £100 for Age UK Surrey.  Do join us by signing up using the code Age UK Surrey at: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/surrey-5-peaks-hikeathon-2016-tickets-19839630870?aff=es2
