The Truro Lifehouse is our desire to help the people of Truro and Cornwall with life. The current facilities are tired and not fit for purpose, yet we are still able to offer a home for some crucial services but we cannot sustain this without a total redevelopment of the site.

Story

We are now preparing for our 9th trip to take much needed supplies and resources to refugees in and around Northern France. Our next trip will be in February and will have two pruposes. Firstly, for delivering supplies such as shelters, clothing and food direct to those that need them most. To make sure your donations go to where they're most needed we work closely with charities like Care4Calais & L'Auberge to make the best use of what we have. Secondly, we don't just deliver and go, we stick around to help in the warehouses, and nearby refugee settlements, in and around Calais and in Dunkirk, and work as volunteers with the charities there. Our work has included cooking meals, sorting donations, distribution, and teaching in the camp schools.

Your donations through Justgiving will help to cover costs for the trip (van hire, diesel and Eurotunnel tickets), as well as pay for specific items that are desperately needed in the camp, such as warm clothing and fuel.
