RIPS Appeal
Organised by Amera International LimitedWe want to raise money to support legal aid for refugees as most refugees know nothing about who or where to apply, nor even who gives asylum and what the actual procedure is.
Story
We want refugees to receive legal assistance when they first enter a country where they should receive protection.
Therefore, AMERA International encourages lawyers globally via the web: www.refugeelegalaidinformation.org, as well as encouraging non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and law firms to give legal aid free of charge.
Furthermore, for managing cases we offer a basic and free software tool - Refugee Information Processing System (RIPS). It is designed to increase the effectiveness of data organisation and protects clients, caseworkers and all their data from inappropriate attack.
However, for some NGOs and law firms, RIPS needs adaptation to the specific needs of the user, for example, they may be offering psychosocial care. This would need adaptation. With your help, we want to raise money to pay for tailoring the programme - thus enabling more NGOs and law firms to benefit from RIPS and, in turn, helping more refugees.
To date RIPS is being used by law firms and NGOs to manage the records of more than 50,000 refugee cases. Together we can continue RIPS' story of success. Thank you again!
