Red Cross has launched the Cyclone Pam (Vanuatu) 2015 Appeal to provide humanitarian support to people and communities affected by the immensely destructive cyclone in the Pacific.
Cyclone Pam has caused a major humanitarian crisis. Multiple fatalities have been confirmed and more than 100,000 people urgently need first aid, shelter, healthcare, clean water and sanitation facilities.
Red Cross is working around the clock to provide first aid and distribute relief supplies across the country. More than 100 staff and volunteers are registering and supporting over 2,800 people at evacuation centres and distributing emergency relief items.
Funds raised from the appeal will provide humanitarian support to people and communities affected by Cyclone Pam, including:
