We are a team with lived experience of autism. We empower and equip autistic adults to advocate for themselves, by improving access to support, education, employment and social opportunities so they can reach their full potential and build a more independent life for themselves

Story

The challenge: To set a record over the whole rugged Wales Coastal Path; with a total ascent equivalent of over two climbs of Everest, in a bid to face his anxieties and difficulties that stem from his Autism (Aspergers).

Shaun is an adult from South Wales and since childhood has found it difficult to understand and relate to the world around him. He suffered mental ill-health to the point of near suicide but the help and support was little to non-existent, so he was left to deal with this and his mental ill-health alone.  In 2010 he found his escape from this crazy world by running. When outside in nature and running he feels safe and at peace with himself. It was running that has saved him and given him back his life and mental well-being.

In Sept 2016 Shaun is running the 870 miles of the Wales Coast Path over 30 consecutive days to inspire others that find themselves in a place that he did, and to get motivated to create a change for themselves towards their own mental well-being.
