At Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) we bring people together every day in our parks and gardens through our gardening volunteer programmes.

Our Great Get Together Bankside street party is being held in an area rich in history where some extraordinary women, such as Octavia Hill and Janet Johnson, worked and lived to improve the lives of others. 

Inspired by this and the life and work of Jo Cox, we are hosting the event which we would like to become an annual celebration  for the whole community.

This first year we are delighted that David Haye has agreed to join us as a special guest and that local businesses and organisations have engaged with the event with such enthusiasm. 

Plans are being developed for a street party which will cater for a variety of activities and be zoned to allow for young and old to enjoy. We will have street closures and parking suspensions in place to allow people to enjoy the event safely. 

BOST's Red Cross Garden will be transformed in to a village fete with maypole dancing, Punch and Judy, bake off and summer cocktails from Bompas and Parr. Crossbones Graveyard Garden will be reserved as a tranquil place to rest and enjoy.Activities will include:

- Great Bankside Bark Off Dog Show- Gentlemen Baristas Great Wacky Races- At Your Beat, a new dance fitness brand taking London by storm, holding their first ever StreetBeat party- Live music across three stages- Great Kids Zone and a mobile farm- Vintage Market at Flat Iron Square- Food and drink available from local businesses

The street party will take place from 12 noon to 9pm.
