Story
We have a great team of 12 horses and ponies at Barrow Farm RDA and they eat £1000 hay every month during the cold winter. Well fed and contented they are the key players here and we want your help to keep them happy and fit to do their valuable job with our riders. For disabled people riding gives them the chance to take part in a sport that is also of huge therapeutic benefit. Sitting on a pony gives a fantastic "king of the castle" feeling for wheelchair users. Confidence is built, balance improved and friends made. Its ability that counts, the pony does not judge, does not mind if things go wrong. Disabled people want the same things as we all do, to be valued, to have friends, to participate, to learn and achieve. At Barrow Farm our horse and ponies help us make this possible for them.
