Visit the charity's profileThe Beatson Cancer Charity Wellbeing Centre is open from 9am to 9pm, seven days a week. It provides a unique space where patients can relax away from the clinical environment of the wards. The Centre is funded entirely by Beatson Cancer Charity through the generosity of our supporters.
James was diagnosed with Leukaemia and admitted to The Beatson the 27th of March, he had no idea that it would become his home for six months. Very sadly James lost his battle the 3rd of October.
James confessesed "At times, the stress and fear of dealing with a life-threatening illness has been unbearable" However staff at the Centre are always there to listen and reassure patients, like James, when they are feeling anxious.
The Centre offers a range of therapies, to help patients relax and manage their pain and side effects. The Centre is a peaceful haven and as James so perfectly summed up, "the Wellbeing Centre is my daily lifeline".
Help us support people like James.
