Story
Since 2009 Sanctuaryartists have been making Recycled Cardboard Assistive Equipment for children with disability at the Metropolitan Sanctuary in Nyeri, Kenya. This has been primarily funded by the production of handmade paper christmas decorations by the same women at the Sanctuary. However, the demand for the equipment and the development of the Chairs and Standing Frames is more than the paper we can sell - even though 2016 saw us sell more than ever!
So... not the kind to sit back on their laurels, Jolene Allen (SA Workshop Manager) and Annabelle Murray (SA UK sales and BFD Strategic Manager) are putting on their boots and going to drag their bodies to the top of Mount Kenya with the determination of continuing to develop this project, and meet the need of many Disabled Children that they know still need chairs.
Please help - this equipment is making a huge difference to lives - to see more go to Facebook Sanctuaryartists page!
Thank you for your support !!!!!
