Biggin Hill Memorial Museum Trust is working to bring St George's Chapel and the long wanted heritage centre at Biggin Hill together, to provide a sustainable future for them both. The museum will engage the public with the heritage and preserve the memory of those who served at Biggin Hill in WW2.

Story

Your donation will go toward safeguarding St George's Chapel through the development of the site to host a new memorial museum.

At the end of 2014 the future of St George's RAF Chapel of Remembrance at Biggin Hill became uncertain, with the Ministry of Defence announcing that funding for the Chapel would be withdrawn. The Chapel was built as a memorial to Biggin Hill aircrew. Fundraising for its construction between 1946 and 1951 was led by Sir Winston Churchill, to be a permanent shrine to remembrance to those who gave their lives for our freedom.

By bringing the Chapel and long wanted museum together, a sustainable future can be created for both, providing a living memorial and experience for a wide range of visitors. The Biggin Hill Memorial Museum Trust needs your support to keep the memory of those who served and died at Biggin Hill alive.
