Bold Vision is a community charity set up in 2009. Under our umbrella are New Cross Learning, Feed the Hill, Common Growth, Green 14, the Aspinall Gardens project and the Refugee Twinning Project. We also act as an incubator for other community initiatives.

Story

We know from our previous visits to the camp that engaging refugees in improving their environment has a measurable positive impact on well being. See the two min you tube video here

In other words, this stuff works. So we want to build on what has happened already and strengthen the actions. We are going back on Feb 10th and have three planned actions

1. Other parts of the camp want their version of Hope Square - so we aim to create two more participatory artworks with them. We know Peace Rocks! worked well too and we will look for other ways to involve lots of people.

2. We want to create a new activity for children in the camp using colour,  creativity and whatever is available - eg junk from the supermarket.

And

3. We want to address the isolation of many of the women in the camp by creating audio material that can be played from the Talk Ring - mobile audio right in front of their homes.

The money will be used for audio material, paint, construction materials and transport.
