Visit the charity's profileOn Friday I sat for 30 minutes in an ice bath outside Sainsbury’s Alnwick for Sport Relief. People paid £1 a go to guess how long I’d last & the winner won the amazing Easter hamper (see photo below). He very kindly told the store to give the prize to the lady in the bath. I’m going to pass on this kindness & invite you to buy a raffle ticket from me All proceeds will go to Breadline Africa's project below and I’ll draw the winner soon.
Since 1935, St Joseph’s Home for chronically ill children. Since its inception, the activities of the school have focused on the struggling, chronically ill children with cancer (30%), childhood diabetes, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and HIV/Aids (25%). Some children have acute medical conditions and are on dialysis, suffer from heart and lung diseases among other ailments. The school also includes cognitively impaired children and is now home to 223 children who need special support. A therapy room is desperately needed. http://stjosephshome.org.za/school/
