Story

Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place on 19 October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of amazing people will wear it pink in their communities, schools or work places for the UK's largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.

And since our first event in 2002, together we've raised over £31.5 million for our life-saving research. Research that's working to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage so we can stop the disease taking lives.

How do I take part in wear it pink?

It’s easy – just register, wear something pink on 19 October and raise money. You’ll be helping to make cutting edge breast cancer research happen. If you’re at work, you could get your colleagues involved by all wearing pink and join in the fun with our fundraising sweepstakes or quizzes.Schools could have a non-uniform day, check out our recipes to hold a cake sale and don't forget the prizes for the best fancy dress. And if you’re looking to take part in your community you could organise a special wear it pink party to bring everyone together and raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now.
