Story

There are more than 40,000 children and young people living with sight loss in the UK

British Blind Sport helps people with sight loss to get active and play sport  and with your help we can change the lives of more children like Jamie...

Jamie is 8 yrs old and lost his sight because of a brain tumour that was diagnosed when he was a baby. Despite the daily challenges he faces, Jamie is a fun and lively boy who loves being active.

Children with sight loss are often excluded from sport which can destroy their self-esteem and confidence and prevents them from developing the skills they need to lead active and independent lives. We need to change this.

With support from British Blind Sport, Jamie is now trying out a wide range of sports and regularly enjoys swimming and tennis. Through sport, he has gained confidence, developed his motor skills and feels more valued and happy.

£10 could help a young blind child learn to kick, catch & throw with an audible jingle' ball

£25 could help a child develop their motor skills and confidence with an activity programme

£50 could sponsor a child to attend a multi-sport day where they discover a sport they love for life

Please donate and Jingle All The Way for Blind Children this Christmas!
