The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileCeri is a keen runner and has done several 10k races but this year she is stepping up to run her first ever half marathon.
Ceri is running to support the work of the Brookfields Special School Youth Club which supports young people with learning difficulties. The youth club provides a safe and happy environment for 24 young people aged from 14-19 to have fun and take part in a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, sport, games and theme nights such as Halloween. It also allows our young people to relax and have fun with their peers which helps to build their self confidence and communication skills.
We are raising money to replace some of the equipment and games we use as they are rather tired and are showing severe signs of wear and tear. We would also like to pay for some off-site activities which our young people enjoy, such as swimming, bowling and visiting the climbing centre.
In the past we have raised money to support the youth club by running events such as a cyclathon but this year Ceri is bravely taking the plunge with the half marathon to raise some much needed funds.
