The only public building in our village has 14th century stones with an ancient font; is associated with the original Nuneaton nuns; has regular Sunday services; has a millennium window. The WC and servery extension is finished! We're seeking funds to maintain our 21st century welcome to all.

Story

Here’s an opportunity for you to do something positive in Lent...

Our little church between Nuneaton, Hinckley and Rugby now has official permission (Faculty) to build an extension with a WC and servery. It’s the only public building in the village... there’s no longer any school, shop or post office.

People visit this medieval listed building arrive from the nearby Ashby canal, walk from nearby towns or have travelled from all over the world. Some people are interested in its history and in St Botolph. And some wander in for some peace.

We would like to give a 21st century welcome to visitors and enable community events to be held. People could stay longer!

We’ve already had generous donations and promises and put aside some money in the church funds. I said to my nearest and dearest that we’ve still got to raise £45,800. But he said if 4,580 people each give £10 then you will have raised it.

Perhaps you can count a £10 donation as your Lent giving?

Thank you for reading this.
