A SECURE FUTURE STARTS WITH A SECURE HOME
“This is my home. It is my key, my space, my domain.”Nadeisha
Each year the Cardinal Hume Centre hostel is a home to over 50 young people with no safe place to sleep. The security of having a home they can rely on allows them to focus on getting back into education or into stable jobs. By giving them a place to call their own your support offers them the key to unlocking their potential.
It has been 10 years since the hostel was last refurbished, and wear and tear on the room locks is beginning to show. In the last few months residents have been experiencing problems with entering and exiting their rooms. In one extreme case a resident was locked out of his room; it took staff several hours before they were able to regain access for him.
A donation to our Lock Appeal could ensure that the young people in our hostel continue to feel protected, supported and safe.
