The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe Marimbo women's group have voluntarily supported the Ivor Leigh Memorial School since its inception in 2006, helping with food days and other events, despite the difficulties they have making ends meet in this impoverished area. There are opportunities for them to become more self sufficient, but they need some startup help. CESO wants to help them through a microfinance project. This would initially provide 20 of the women with a loan of £75 to set up a business of soap making, cloth dying or food production. Once their businesses are up and running and they are able to repay their loans, more women will be brought into the project.
