A Greenhouse for Civic Pride

Our seventeen gardens across Rawtenstall will be full of colour and interest through the spring and summer but buying plants is expensive. With a greenhouse we can grow our own.
Our campaign is now complete. 13 supporters helped us raise £1,795.00

The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileWe've located a site for a greenhouse behind Rawtenstall market. It's a perfect position, it's faces South, has easy access and free parking. We need to clear the site, create a base and erect an unbreakable polycarbonate greenhouse.
Our amazing volunteer gardeners are already creating three new gardens this year to brighten the day for commuters, those on the school run, dog walkers, visitors and even those just passing through. These can be found on the Northern end of the gyratory or main roundabout (t'Gyro), at the top of Hollins Lane (Round the Bend!) and above the cemetery by the path to Alder Grange (Lee Farm).
Our ambition is to become the floral town of East Lancashire!
To do this we need the facility to grow our own plants.
We also recognise that there are a lot of people for whom gardening or litter picking is no longer possible but who would still like to be involved. Pottering around a greenhouse could be a real tonic, particulary as they'll be mixing with others and making new friends. Could this be your mum, dad, grandma or grandad?
Will you, can you help us please?
