Story

The 1818 William Henry Playfair City Observatory is in a serious state of disrepair and on the Buildings at Risk Register. Time is now critical to save the building. 

We invite you or your business to save the City Observatory and invest in the future of this incredibly important site. You can choose to donate at various levels, reflecting different elements and features of the building.

Virtual Brick – £25—£250; Sandstone Brick – £250; Sandstone Capital – £500; Plaster Column – £1,000; Sandstone Column – £2,500; Sandstone Portico – £5,000; Astronomer Royal Plaque – £10,000; Observatory Dome – £25,000; Observatory Library – £50,000
