Visit the charity's profileLisa Stockley, one of Cornwall Mobility's Independent Living Assessors, has a passion for the great outdoors. She began running 3 years ago with the aim of completing a 'Race for Life' in memory of her late mother.
Since then Lisa has competed in several other runs and now wants to set up a fund, the Freedom Fund, to give young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 who have a disability or mobility challenge the opportunity to access and enjoy outdoor leisure pursuits. The fund will be used to provide help with equipment and adaptations to enable young adults to experience the benefits of outdoor activities.
To launch the Freedom Fund Lisa took part in the Arc of Attrition Winter 100 Mile Ultramarathon on Friday 10 February 2017 and managed a fantastic 74 miles.
Lis is planning many more events to raise money for the Freedom Fund so please keep donating!
