Super typhoon signal number 4 'Nina', internationally known as Nock-Ten, made its landfall in the Philippines on Christmas day. The island of Marinduque took the hardest hit. The damage has reached billion pesos prompting the provincial government to declare the state of calamity in the island.
Homes, roads, schools, hospitals and agriculture have been badly damaged and will need repairs. There are also immediate needs for clean drinking water, canned goods, rice, medicine, first aid kits, clothes, and blankets. Supplies are running low so every bit of help you could give counts.
Currently, more than 52,000 families (234,000 people) are still struggling to recover from the devastation brought about by the typhoon.
All proceeds raised in this campaign will go directly to the people of Marinduque. Distribution of donations and liquidation of funds will be posted publicly on Cosmopolita Scotland's website.
