The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe history of Dollar Park floral clock goes back to 1933. Les Pryde is one person, like man, in Falkirk, that have fond memories of the clock.
In 2018, Les is fundraising £20,000 to fundraise for the one off costs to restore the mechanism and power of the clock and create further memories for the people of Falkirk.
Les’ history with the floral clock dates back to the completion of his apprenticeship with Falkirk council and the planting of the clock above. Kindly agreeing to come out of retirement and work on a voluntary basis, Les will not only design the clock but will be skilling the next generation on how to design, plan and plant a floral clock. Cyrenians Criminal Justice Service are providing ‘manpower’ for the planting and upkeep of the floral clock.
Along with support and guidance the Rotary, Friends of Dollar park and the aforementioned Cyrenians are supporting Les to not only reinstate the clock but also a sense of civic pride.
The clock was and will be again situated at the entrance to Dollar Park. Please contact us if you require any further information: falkirk@cyrenians.scot
