The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileEvery 20 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer, such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma. For many patients, a blood stem cell donation is their only hope of survivors. Two in three people in need of a blood stem cell donation must look for an unrelated donor to find a match.
Our patients are from all walks of life with one goal – to find a donor who will give them a second chance at life.
“Finn was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disease in 2015. Because no one in our family was a suitable match for him, we had to urgently find an unrelated donor. It was the toughest time of our lives. I can’t tell you how relieved we were when a match was found and Finn received his bone marrow transplant from a selfless stranger...
The Finn today is completely different from the little boy we knew two years ago. He is full of energy - the difference is amazing - he’s so happy and he’s got his confidence back. And, in June this year, we celebrated his two year donation anniversary... We’re so thankful to all those who have supported us in getting this far."
Carole McEwen, mother of Finn, 7, blood cancer survivor.
