Helping young people to stand up to bullying for our #Back2School campaign

Organised by The Diana Award

Bullying affects over half of young people! It costs just £20 to train an Anti-Bullying Ambassador. With your help we aim to have one in every school. Ambassadors stand up for themselves and others.

Our mission is to foster, develop and inspire positive change in the lives of young people through our three core programmes: Anti-Bullying, Mentoring and our flagship Award Programme. Your donation allows us to continue #DianasLegacy.

Story

In the UK 10 million children are going back to school in September. Over half of them will be affected by bullying. Bullying can affect a child's education and self-confidence. The impact of bullying can last into adulthood. You can help us change this situation.

We believe that every school should have Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. We sent some of our famous supporters back to school to talk about their experience of bullying and how an Anti-Bullying Ambassador would have helped them.

Young people spend 11,000 hours of their lives at school, help us ensure that each of the 27,000 schools in the UK are safe, happy, bully-free environments.

It costs just £20 to place an Anti-Bullying Ambassador in a school, a trained young person who offers help to students in their school who are experiencing bullying. They also run campaigns to educate their peers on topics such as cyberbullying, homophobia and racism. Here is one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7PQqgpKG-w
