Why do we need you?
Thousands of children and adults are living with a disability everyday in Dorset. Here at Diverse Abilities, we provide vital support through our four services:
Langside School: Based in the Bournemouth area; we have our specialist school for children aged 2-19 years old living with severe and profound disabilities. The school provides a sense of routine, sensory experiences and specialised educational support for over 20 pupils.
The Children's Team: Ensuring all the children we support have an enjoyable childhood while enabling us to enhance and build our lifelong goal to help families cope with the pressures they face caring for a child with lifetime disabilities.
Adults Services: Enabling adults with a disability to have a fun and fulfilled lift whist providing them with the opportunity to live independently in their own home
Advice Team: Offering assistance to people living with all types of disabilities and health conditions (eg. Dementia, MND, a stroke) and of all ages, our fantastic advise team support over 450 people every year who are perhaps struggling with complicated issues of situations.
