Story

Christmas is a special time of year for sharing memories and we recognise that it can also be a difficult time of year for those of us with a loved one who has died. We know how important it is to come together to remember, and therefore we would like to invite you to join us at a special Lights of Love service at Earl Mountbatten Hospice at 4pm on Sunday 3rd December 2017.

At the service, we will light up our Christmas tree in memory of the thousands of people who are loved and missed by their families and friends, and this is a chance for you to focus on your own special memories whilst supporting the work of Earl Mountbatten Hospice. As part of Lights of Love 2017, we invite you to sponsor a light on our Christmas tree in memory of your loved one.

On any one day we support up to 650 people in their own homes across the Island, as well as in our Newport hospice building. By supporting Lights of Love you will be helping Island families face death and bereavement in the best way possible, surrounded by our expert care.

To sponsor a light please make your donation of whatever you can afford and write your dedication in the comments box. When you sponsor a light, your loved one's name and your dedication will also be written in our Book of Remembrance, which will be displayed in the chapel at Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

Throughout December other Lights of Love services will be held across the Island, including a service at Newport Minster at 7pm on Friday 8th December. Dates for these local Lights of Love events are listed on our website www.iwhospice.org.
