Story
The EI has been promoting energy knowledge, skills and good practice for more than 100 years and for 60 of those it has done so from No. 61 New Cavendish Street in London. This Georgian house with offices attached to the rear was first refurbished by the members in1957 soon after its 999 year lease was purchased. Since then it has been largely untouched. Now whilst our purpose has not changed, how we support members for the public good is very different today– as are the ways in which members, visitors and guests engage and use the services of the EI. And it will undoubtedly evolve. So we must now invest in our facilities and communications to create new opportunities for members, visitors and the public to benefit.
The EI has created a building fund from its charitable activities to fund most of the £2.5M project which has started. Now we need your help to finish this important work and help us build the future together. Some members have already given generously. We hope you can too.
